An Analysis of Growth Pattern and Volatility in Area, Production and Yield of Soybean in Major Producing States of India

Agriculture is one of the important sector our Indian economy. Among agriculture various agricultural crops, oilseeds plays a major role by placing India at 4th largest producer oilseed in world. Cultivation done under 15-20 per cent total area global level (Kumar and Tiwari, 2020). Oilseeds group also considered to be great sources oil (soybean, groundnut, mustard, etc.) protein (soybean). This study tried analyse trend area, production productivity soybean crop fitting exponential growth function. Further examination instability was using Cuddy Della Valle index. The present research period taken from 1970-71 2017-18 which further divided as follows: Pre Technology Mission on (Pre TMO) Period 1985-86, Phase 1986-87 2001-02, two 2002-03 2017-18, Overall 1985-86.
